YHUMIE OYELADE – SINCE 1960 (SONG OF THE NATION). DIR. BY ANTHONY AKINWUNMI RICHARDS

Happy Independence Day, Nigeria. ???????? Our story has never been a simple one. We have known triumphs and trials, moments of great promise and seasons that have tested our patience, courage and faith in the future. Yet through it all, the Nigerian spirit continues to endure. Though the journey may seem too long, we will surely get there. A stronger Nigeria will not be built in a day, but in the determination of her people to keep believing, building, creating, serving and pushing forward. From our different tribes, cultures, languages and traditions comes a strength that is uniquely ours. Today, we honour those who came before us, celebrate the resilience of those carrying the nation today, and hold on to the hope of what Nigeria can still become. May we continue to move forward with courage, unity and purpose. Though the journey may seem too long, we will surely get there. Happy Independence Day, Nigeria. ???????? God Bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
